MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

This case is before the court on the parties’ renewed cross motions for summary judgment, filed pursuant to an order of this court, on plaintiff’s claim that he was deprived of the due process of law guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution, when he was discharged from the police force of the City of Highland Park, Michigan, on November 15, 1984.
