—In a matrimonial action for divorce and ancillary relief, the defendant wife appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Nassau County (Christ, J.), entered *521December 19, 1990, which denied her application for an award of counsel fees.
Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law and as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice, with costs, and the matter is remitted to the Supreme Court, Nassau County, for further proceedings consistent herewith.
