Co-defendants, Lunsford and Holtz, were each indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter arising from an automobile accident. In the same indictment Lunsford was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and driving too fast for conditions in violation of the Illinois Vehicle Code and driving to the left of the center line of a roadway in violation of the traffic regulations of the City of Chicago. Both co-defendants waived trial by jury. Holtz was convicted on both counts of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to concurrent terms of from 2 to 10 years.…
