Sufficiency of the evidence-causation
We first address Regent Care's second issue, which challenges the legal and factual sufficiency of the evidence to support a finding that Regent Care's negligence was a proximate cause of Detrick's injury.
To determine the legal sufficiency of the evidence, a court must "independently consider whether the evidence at trial would enable reasonable and fair-minded jurors to reach the verdict."
