OPINION

MICHAEL MASSENGALE, Justice.

Appellant Guillermo Montalvo has been charged with murder (trial court cause number 1237568). See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 19.02 (Vernon 2003). His pretrial bail was originally set at $50,000, and he filed a habeas corpus petition (trial court cause number 1242494) complaining that the bail was excessive and seeking a reduction of the bail to $5,000. See Tex.Code CRiM. Proc. art. 11.24 (Vernon 2005). After a hearing, the trial court increased Montalvo’s bail to $100,000. Montalvo appeals from this decision and asks that his bail be reduced to $10,000. See…
