Mike Baldizer was a taxi driver, living in a suburb of Mason City. He was a native of Austria-Hungary, and had been in this country about ten years. His wife was of the same nationality, and she and Baldizer were acquainted while in Europe. She came to this country about three months after her husband, and they were married here.
