Anna M. Burkey (Claimant) petitions for review of an order of the Workmen’s Compensation Appeal Board (Board) which affirmed a referee’s decision granting Claimant’s claim petition and awarding compensation for a closed period from December 28, *11221988 through July 19, 1989. The referee suspended benefits effective July 20, 1989, based on a finding that Claimant had refused reasonable and necessary medical treatment.1 We reverse.
