ZINTER, Circuit Judge.

On August 6, 1994, Richard James Hopewell (Hopewell) petitioned for reinstatement of his license to practice law. After a September 9, 1994 hearing, the Disciplinary Board of the State Bar of South Dakota (Board) recommended that reinstatement be denied. We deny reinstatement.

On November 3, 1993, this Court suspended Hopewell’s license. That disciplinary proceeding was initiated as the result of Hopewell’s unprofessional conduct and public statements made during the course of a campaign for judicial office. See Matter of the Discipline of Hopewell, 507 N.W.2d 911…
