The juvenile court placed youth in the legal custody of the Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) for a specified period and recommended placement in a youth correction facility. ORS 419C.478; ORS 419C.495; ORS 419C.501. Several months later, youth moved to amend the order on the ground that he was entitled to credit against the period of placement in a youth correction facility for time previously spent in other out-of-home placements.
