Lupiano, J.

The parties were married in New York in 1965 and have three children. The family lived together in a life-style embracing utilization of two homes, one in New York and one in Connecticut. The Connecticut home was used on weekends, *592vacations and during the summer months, with the remainder of the time allotted to the New York residence. Defendant having gone to the Connecticut home with the children in December, 1978, remained there and instituted a divorce action in Connecticut.
