Although this is the second review of the judgments of conviction, the rules on appeal are the same as if the first appeal were direct to this court. Madison v. Geier (1965), 27 Wis. 2d 687, 135 N. W. 2d 761. Nor will we retry the case on the record to see if each member of this court is convinced of the guilt of the defendants beyond a reasonable doubt. Kopacka v. State (1964), 22 Wis. 2d 457, 126 N. W. 2d 78; State v. Johnson (1960), 11 Wis. 2d 130, 104 N. W. 2d 379; Parke v. State (1931), 204 Wis. 443, 235 N. W. 775.
