Maupin, J.:
Appellant, Ray Pineda, was tried below before a jury and found guilty of second-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon. The district court thereafter sentenced Pineda to serve two consecutive terms of life imprisonment with the possibility of parole after ten years on each sentence.
Pineda contends on appeal that the district court erred in ordering in limine that the State could introduce evidence of his prior convictions for impeachment purposes should he decide to testify, rejecting Pineda’s proposed jury instructions on the issue of self-defense, and in…
