Prior to the 18th day of March, 1923, par. 7 of section 1 of chapter 49, Acts of the Thirty-seventh General Assembly was in effect and provided that a fee be paid to the sheriff for collecting and paying over money. This provision was repealed by section 1 of chapter 102 of the Acts of the Fortieth General Assembly, which became effective on publication completed on the 18th day of March, 1923.
