CIRE, Justice.

This is an appeal from an order terminating the parent-child relationship between appellants, Mr. and Mrs. Adolphus Hall, and five of their children. The juvenile court granted the petition of appellee, the Harris County Child Welfare Unit, brought on the basis of section 15.02 of the Family Code under which the court may terminate the parent-child relationship if it finds the parent has

(C) knowingly placed or knowingly allowed the child to remain in conditions or surroundings which endanger the physical or emotional well-being of the child; or

(D) engaged in conduct or knowingly…
