OPINION

BRODY, District Judge.

Appellant Edward Whelan suffers from a degenerative eye disease that occludes his central vision. Whelan sued his former employer, Teledyne Metalworking Products, for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), 42 U.S.C. §§ 12101, et seq. The case went to trial, and the jury found for Teledyne. Challenging the sufficiency of the evidence underlying the verdict, Whelan moved for judgment as a matter of law under Fed. R. Civ. Proc.
