Rice v. Commonwealth
Court of Appeals of Virginia
1Opinion of the Court
FRANK, Judge.
Collin Anthony Rice, appellant, was convicted, in a bench trial, of possession of a firearm by a felon, in violation of Code § 18.2-308.2. On appeal, he contends the trial court erred in convicting him of this offense after a jury had acquitted him, in the same trial, of related offenses. Specifically, he argues collateral estoppel barred this conviction. 1 For the following reasons stated, we affirm the judgment of the trial court.
