In this 42 U.S.C. § 1988 action, Nicolas Marquez (“Marquez”), a prisoner currently-confined in the Polunsky Unit in Texas, appeals the district court’s decision granting summary judgment to several employees of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (“TDCJ”) and the University of Texas Medical Branch (“UTMB”). Marquez alleges that the employees were deliberately indifferent to his serious medical need for dentures and/or for a soft diet.
