On July 30, 2008, 568 F.Supp.2d 965 (N.D.Ill.2008), I entered an order resolving cross-motions for summary judgment in this action (the “July 30 Order”). At issue was whether defendants Michael Sheahan (then the Cook County Sheriff) and Cook County violated the Fourth and/or Fourteenth Amendment rights of plaintiffs Quentin Bullock, Jack Reid, and a class of male individuals in the custody of the Cook County Department of Corrections (“CCDOC” or the “Jail”).
