OPINION

ELSA ALCALA, Justice.

Appellant, Keaaron Reed, appeals from a judgment convicting him for the murder of Fred Porter. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 19.02 (Vernon 2003). Appellant pleaded not guilty, the jury found him guilty, and the trial court sentenced him to 18 years in prison. In two related issues, appellant contends the trial court abused its discretion by admitting the transcript of a witness’s prior testimony because that evidence was inadmissible hearsay and violated appellant’s federal constitutional right to confront witnesses under the Confrontation Clause.
