Appellant Glenn S. Gerhart was charged by information in the Circuit Court of Cooper County with four counts of statutory rape in the first degree, § 566.032, 1 and one count of felonious restraint, § 565.120. Appellant was tried by jury beginning August 14, 2002. He was subsequently found guilty of four counts of first-degree statutory rape. The jury recommended sentences of ten years on each count and, thereafter, the trial court sentenced Appellant to four consecutive terms of ten years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. This appeal followed.
