JOHN K. BUSH, Circuit Judge.

Joel Rosenfeld appeals the dismissal of an adversary proceeding that he brought in bankruptcy court against his ex-wife Amy Rosenfeld, a debtor in bankruptcy. The bankruptcy court dismissed Joel’s adversary proceeding for lack of standing. The district court affirmed that dismissal. We now review the bankruptcy court de novo, and for the reasons that follow, we affirm.
