This is the second appeal of this case to this court. The opinion on the prior appeal is found reported in 203 Iowa 518.

The plaintiff’s action is for services rendered in procuring coal leases of a considerable acreage of land for the defendants. As to the employment of the plaintiff by the defendants, for the •purpose of procuring said leases, there is no dispute; and the plaintiff was engaged in that pursuit for the defendants from on or about the 3d day of March, 1919, to the latter part of the year 1921.
