—In an action to recover damages for libel, the plaintiff appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Belen, J.), dated August 24, 1998, which granted that branch of the defendants’ motion which was to dismiss the complaint for failure to state a cause of action.

Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, that branch of the defendants’ motion which was to dismiss the complaint for failure to state a cause of action is denied, and the complaint is reinstated.
