This is an application for a writ of prohibition against the superior court of Pierce county.

It appears from the application that the relator is a child under the age of sixteen years, and that, on the 20th day of November, 1918, he was charged by the prosecuting attorney with the crime of murder in *685the first degree. Upon a trial of that charge to a jury on the 8th day of January, 1919, he was convicted of the crime of manslaughter.
