Mr. and Mrs. Minchella (the sellers) filed a complaint on February 28, 1980, seeking to foreclose a May 8, 1975, land contract and a security agreement incorporating a promissory note by which they sold a restaurant with a liquor license to Mr. Fredericks and his corporation (the purchasers). The corporation was the land contract vendee, but he personally bought the equipment, liquor license and other personal property of the business.
