Plaintiff, the sheriff of Delta county, brought this libel suit against the defendant, the editor of the Escanaba Journal, for the publication of the following article on the 3d day of September, 1909:
“Sheriff Aronson was on a Drunk.
“Delta County Officer Celebrated Fair by Spreeing and Having Boy Arrested for Speeding Automobile.
