These suits

were tried together below and we shall dispose of them in one opinion. Furness Shipping & Agency Company, Barber & Company, Inc., Wilson & Co., Ine., and Rohe & Bro. will be respectively referred to herein as Furness, Barber, Wilson, and Rohe. Furness was a Dutch corporation, and on August' 12, 1915, during the' late war, chartered to Barber, a New York corporation, at New York, the Dutch vessel Driebergen for a voyage from New York to Rotterdam, Holland.
