This Court’s opinion of March 1, 2002, is withdrawn and the following is substituted therefor.

On February 21, 2001, Robert Covington Conner was convicted of the unlawful sale of a controlled substance, a violation of § 13A-12-211, Ala.Code 1975. On April 23, 2001, the trial judge sentenced him, as an habitual felony offender, to 20 years’ imprisonment. See § 13A-5-9(c)(2), Ala. Code 1975.
