On December 23, 1914, Hosea W. Wells filed in the superior court of Cook county a petition to contest the election of ten associate judges of the municipal court of Chicago. The petition sets forth that an election was held on November 3, 1914, in the city of Chicago, for the election of ten associate judges of the municipal court of the city of Chicago and that there were forty candidates for election to said offices,—ten candidates on each of the tickets designated as the progressive, socialist, democratic and republican.
