The California Military Whistleblower Protection Act, Military and Veterans Code section 56 ( Section 56 ), affords certain rights and protections to service members of the California National Guard who face actual or threatened adverse personnel actions in retaliation for reporting waste, fraud, abuse of authority, violation of law, or threats to the public health and safety.
