I am in full agreement with the majority’s determination that the trial judge’s grant of an expungement order to D.H. was *27proper. I part company from my colleagues in connection with their concomitant ruling that the order of forfeiture of public employment survived the expungement.

Like the trial judge, I conclude that “[f]orfeiture and disqualification of public office are collateral consequences of a conviction” that are “eliminated by the order of expungement[.]” Moreover, as the Appellate Division panel explained: “[ajlthough N.J.S.A. 2C:51-2(d) and the forfeiture order at issue both…
