Reversing.
In the year 1892, certain citizens of the town of Guthrie, Todd county, Ky., conceived the design of organizing a training school for the community. To that end a public meeting was held, and about $10,000 subscribed for the erection of a school .building. At that time the trustees of Bethel College were operating a successful school at Russellville, in the adjoining county of Logan, and it was thought prudent to have the Guthrie school conducted in conjunction with Bethel College and under the supervision of its officers.
