*401Antonio Ruiz ("Appellant") and Yuko Kinoshita ("Appellee") were married in 2004. They have two children. Yuko filed the underlying divorce in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County in 2016.1 The court bifurcated proceedings into two "stages": (1) "custody" and (2) "remaining issues."
