for the Court:

¶ 1. Clarence Bennett Jr. was convicted of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the Circuit Court of Bolivar County, Mississippi, Second Judicial District. He was sentenced to twelve years on the conviction of aggravated assault and three years on the conviction of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, with the sentences to run concurrently, all in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
