This is a controversy between two parties of professing Christian Baptists, each party claiming to constitute the Baptist Church at Lulbegrud, in the county of Montgomery, involving the right to about two acres of ground, and the use of a house of public worship erected thereon. It appears that as early as 1793, a Church was organized, called the “ Baptist Church of Christ at Lulbegrud.” In 1807, Jilson Payne, conveyed to this Church, one acre of ground, upon which the house in contest was erected; and in…
