MURRAY, Justice.

This matter is before us on a petition for certiorari to review an order of the Superior Court granting the plaintiff’s motion to compel production of the defendant’s income tax return. We granted the petition *942and issued the writ on September 15, 1980. In response thereto, papers relevant to this matter have been certified to this court.
