WIDENER, Circuit Judge:
Appellant Marjorie Linder Cooley brought this diversity action against appellee Clifton Power Corporation (Clifton Power), seeking damages and injunctive relief for the flooding of her property caused by the maintenance and operation of a hydroelectric dam by Clifton Power. Clifton Power has operated a dam and a hydroelectric project on the Pacolet River in Spartanburg County, South Carolina since July 1981.
