David Roger Mortensbak, an inmate in the South Dakota State Penitentiary, has filed a pro se civil rights lawsuit1 under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against Nicholas Butler, Paul Smedsrud,2 Loren McManus, Andrew Siebenborn, Dan Thelen,3 Ryan Baker, Jeff Gillespie,4 Sam Clemens,5 Jon Lohr,' and Randy Sample (collectively, the Defendants).
