A jury in the criminal court of Cook county returned a death sentence against Charles Price for the murder of Nicholas Miller, who was killed during an attempted holdup on the evening of March 30, 1936. Price was arrested November 26, 1937. He was convicted largely upon his written confession, supported by the testimony of Wayland Allen who said that he witnessed the killing and recognized Price. Motions to quash the indictment, for a new trial and in arrest of judgment, were all overruled when made. Defendant alleges the commission of many errors upon which he believes this court may…
