OPINION
RIEGLE, Bankruptcy Judge.
OVERVIEW
A debtor’s former wife brought an adversary proceeding to except from discharge a debt owed to her which arose from the debtor’s failure to pay her a portion of his pension benefits. The bankruptcy court held that the portion of the debt arising from benefits that the debtor received before the state court divided the pension benefits between the debtor and his former spouse was not excepted from discharge under either 11 U.S.C. § 523(a)(4) or (a)(15). 2
