July 22, 1931, Seattle School District No. 1 (hereafter referred to as the “district”) and the United Fuel Company (hereafter referred to as “United”) entered into an agreement by the terms of which the United agreed to sell and deliver to the district its coal requirements for the year ending August 31, 1932.
