This suit was instituted by the State of Missouri at the relation of the State Highway Commission, hereinafter referred to as plaintiff, for the condemnation of land of appellants, hereinafter called defendants, in connection with the widening and improvement of State Highway Route No. 30, also known as Gravois Road, in St. Louis County, Missouri. Commissioners were duly appointed, and on November 23, 1932, they filed in court their award granting defendants the sum of $1350 damages.
