Bruce L. Williams (“Appellant”) was charged by information with felony criminal nonsupport, pursuant to § 568.040.1 He was convicted at the conclusion of a jury trial, and the trial court subsequently sentenced him to forty-five days incarceration in the Laclede County Jail, as well as a $5000 fine. Appellant now brings this appeal, challenging his conviction on the grounds that the trial court erred in excluding evidence, in allowing improper argument, and plainly erred “in sentencing him for felony criminal nonsupport.” The State candidly and correctly…
