*440 After a series of car break-ins and the theft of a vehicle, the State filed a delinquency petition in the Juvenile Court of Douglas County alleging that K. S. had committed acts that, if committed by an adult, would have constituted 32 counts of entering an automobile with intent to commit a theft, one count of theft by taking a motor vehicle, and one count of participating in criminal street gang activity.
