Alcohol Foundation, Inc. (“Alcohol Foundation”) commenced this action by filing a complaint under seal on August 22, 2000, as a relator under the False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C. §§ 3729-33. Alcohol Foundation claims that the defendants have caused misrepresentations and false and/or fraudulent claims to be presented to the government for the treatment of alcohol-related diseases.
