DAVID Newbern, Justice.

Heath Kennedy stands convicted of capital murder and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. He argues that the evidence was insufficient to have been permitted to go to the jury, thus his motion for directed verdict should have been granted. He also contends a statement given by him to the police should have been suppressed. We affirm the conviction because the evidence was not only sufficient but overwhelming, and the State has shown that the statement was knowingly and voluntarily given.
