Defendant Sam W. Milton appeals as of right his jury convictions of assault and battery, MCL 750.81, and misconduct in office, MCL 750.505. We affirm.

Defendant was a lieutenant with the Ecorse Police Department and shift commander at the police station when a boisterous and uncooperative prisoner was brought to the station for lockup. While being processed in the squad room, dog feces dropped from the prisoner’s pant leg and, after refusing to clean up the mess, the prisoner was taken to the lockup area and defendant was notified.
