John Strozewski, a minor, by his father and next friend, Conrad Strozewski, filed the instant lawsuit in Cook County circuit court on May 29,1973, alleging, in part, that John Strozewski was injured when his foot became caught in one of the steel rollers used to pull automobiles through a carwash, resulting in severe and permanent personal injuries. Initially suing only the carwash conveyor system manufacturer, plaintiff added five more defendants in five amendments, one being Control Headquarters, Inc.
