WALLACE, Circuit Judge:

Oman appeals from a judgment of conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1) and 924(a). The district court had jurisdiction under 18 U.S.C. § 3231, and we have jurisdiction over this timely appeal pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1291. We affirm.

Oman was convicted in 1974 in the Middle-sex District Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for two felony offenses: assault by means of a dangerous weapon, and breaking and entering. He served 18 months in state custody. Oman moved to Tucson, Arizona, approximately 1987. There, he began…
