[ Appellant, Rudolph Sanchez, appeals the trial court’s May 20, 2016 judgment, which denied his petition for custody of his minor stepsons, J.J. Ben and J.J. Ben. In *440its judgment, the trial court awarded joint custody to the minors’ maternal grandmother, Rhonda Etienne, and paternal grandmother, Yvonne W. Ben. For the reasons stated more fully below, we affirm the trial court’s judgment.
